Dr Kerith Duncanson Shares CRE Research At ESPEN

  • News

Dr Kerith Duncanson recently presented a poster at the 2025 European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) Congress, prepared with Dr Georgina Williams. The poster was titled “Perceptions of adults with Crohn’s disease about diet and dietetic management after a 6-month randomised controlled dietary intervention trial”.

This work was part of a Crohn’s disease study undertaken by Cheenie Nieva for her PhD. Georgina then ran the 6-month dietary trial, which was funded from a CRE pilot grant.

The team have recently applied for more grant funding to conduct microbiome and metabolomic analysis on the samples (blood, stool) that were collected throughout the trial. They are currently analysing the dietary trial data and will be submitting that for publication later in the year.

Congratulations to Kerith for a successful international presentation and helping the CRE achieve our aims of sharing knowledge and research outcomes with the greater scientific community.
