Awards, Presentations and More At This Years WCOG @ AGW 2025

  • Dr Kerith Duncanson, Professor Nick Talley, and Dr Emily Hoedt (left to right), at the Melbourne Convention Centre for WCOG @ AGW 2025.

The World Congress of Gastroenterology @ Australian Gastroenterology Week 2025 (WCOG @ AGW25) was recently held in Melbourne from the 19th to 22nd September 2025, drawing global attendance and high praise from delegates, presenters and exhibitors.

The combination of the World Congress of Gastroenterology and Australian Gastroenterology Week created a great environment for facilitating international collaborations and sharing the latest research and technology.

During the conference, Professor Nick Talley was presented a prestigious Masters of the WGO Award– the highest honour the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) can bestow on a member, granted only to those individuals who have provided outstanding dedication to the mission of the WGO and achieved distinction in areas of scholarly research, teaching, and service to the community.

Our Centre of Research Excellence in Transforming Gut Health (CRE-TGH) researchers and collaborators attended the event to share presentations and recent research, as well as network with global experts in various fields. Our Chief Investigators and Associate Investigators successfully represented the CRE-TGH by attending the conference, chairing sessions and making presentations- congratulations to all who attended and made meaningful contributions to the event and our ongoing research.
